I am sure that many people consider World War II as one of the most forgettable days in the history of mankind. It was a day wherein man forgot about unity and instead advanced their own personal interests. It was a time when the likes of Adolf Hitler and Mussolini gained power and took advantage of the less powerful.
The celebration of Time To Remember Lost Lives From World War II provides an opportunity to make our non-concurrence to nuclear arms known through the use of corporate items. I think no one living in the contemporary world would justify the events that transpired during the war. In the thick of the celebration, I saw several concerned groups passing out give aways promoting unity rather than divisiness.
Some of my friends are planning to fly all the way to Nagasaki and Hiroshima, which was where the Americans dropped the atomic bomb signaling the end and imminent surrender of the Japs. With corporate gifts in tow, the group of my friend wanted to show the people of the two cities that like them they condemn the heinous acts which killed their ancestors. Luggage tags personal logos reflecting their crusade were very prominent in their luggage.
I heard they would also be playing a charity baseball game with some teams in Hiroshima as part of the celebration. At the end of the friendly game, I was informed that custom baseballs would be given away to the crowd.
