International Literacy Day Promotional Pens

I grew up with a love for writing and reading. My parents thought me of knowing the value of how to express your emotions in words on a piece of paper. But lately, I noticed that kids nowadays don’t even care if they have a good grammar, more so with writing. They have practically no interest at all that I prodded myself to doing something about the situation. I’ll give out promotional ballpoint pens just to prove a point.

My old high school principal is back in town, so I decided to see her to ask for an advice. I talked to her about the problem and indeed, she agreed with my observation. He said that giving out those custom promotional ballpoint pens was a good start to fix the worsening problem.

Handing out those pens on the International Literacy Day will be my first ‘baby step’ in achieving my goal. I’ll buy those items from a local hobby store and get a couple of hundreds of them. They’re cheap anyway. Plus, it’s better to spend on these things rather than using the money on beer and chocolates.

I’ll make an imprint of something on those logo promotional ballpoint pens; simple statement maybe, just to remind the kids of the value of learning, writing and reading. I hope they use it, so that all my effort and hard work would pay off.

The issue is quite distressing. There are a lot of children who can’t go to school even if they wanted to; while there are those that don’t care if they learn or not in school. Hopefully, my working ballpens will do something to encourage them to read and learn more soon.
